We specialize in large-scale door-knocking programs and direct voter contact that create meaningful connections between candidates and constituents. Citizens Alliance works to mobilize aligned activists to join the NH Chase program and participate in hands-on, ground-game political organizing. Job Summary

The New Hampshire State Director leads Citizens Alliance operations in the state and is responsible for implementing the Liberty State Project, a strategic initiative to create lasting change in state government. This role includes recruiting and supporting legislators and candidates to sign The Citizens Alliance of NH Pledge, executing “pain and praise” campaigns, developing activist networks, and ensuring training programs are delivered effectively. The State Director reports to national leadership and serves as the key point of contact for all in-state activities and will be a pivotal role in the NH Chase program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Liberty State Project in New Hampshire, coordinating statewide efforts to advance liberty policy objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with legislators, candidates, and grassroots activists to expand the pledge network and political influence
  • Recruit and support legislators and candidates to sign The The Citizens Alliance of NH Pledge, providing guidance and accountability as needed
  • Plan and execute “pain and praise” campaigns to hold elected officials accountable
  • Develop and run training academies for volunteers and local activists, ensuring participation and engagement
  • Maintain governance, compliance, and reporting for in-state activities
  • Track and report metrics on pledge signers, legislative engagement, volunteer mobilization, and campaign results
  • Serve as the public representative for Citizens Alliance at local events, meetings, and conferences

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in political campaigns, legislative engagement, and/or grassroots organizing
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with legislators, candidates, and community leaders
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, travel extensively within the state, and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of New Hampshire political landscape and election processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advocacy campaigns or similar accountability programs
  • Previous leadership role within a 501(c)(4) or nonprofit or political organization
  • Familiarity with volunteer training programs and grassroots network development
  • Track record of measurable success in political engagement or legislative influence

Working Conditions

  • Statewide position covering New Hampshire
  • Occasional travel required across the state
  • Evening and weekend work expected for events, meetings, and legislative sessions
